hello all!

long time no talk. as you know, i said that i would start a new legacy right away. if you follow me on twitter, then you saw that i had founders every so often that didn’t go anywhere.

well, i’m here to tell you that i’m putting this blog to rest. i have started a new legacy, but am posting pictures here and there over on my tumblr, along with other families i play or houses i build. you can still follow me on twitter, although i don’t post there as often as i’d like. and finally, i have a youtube channel where i post speed builds and soon you’ll start to see a few let’s play series.

thanks for all of your support over the years. i’ll keep this site up just in case i ever decide to post a legacy similar to the wallace legacy.

lots of peace, love and sims.

so… i have some bad news. after a save error on my computer, i backed up the game and deleted the bad files. i put the backed up file back in, but it’s not being recognized and i have had to delete everything. i’m sorry to announce that this is the end of the wallace legacy.

i am leaving all the old posts up under the wallace legacy category and will begin a new legacy today. i’m not sure if this will be story-telling like the wallace legacy was, or a more observational one like the creeper legacy. i’m going to look around at some of my favorite legacies and see how they do it

i’m not sure when everything will be up and going, but keep checking back and i’ll keep updating my twitter with the situation.

i’m going to miss these silly sims, and i had really grown attached to generation 6 (i played way ahead of my posts) so this is pretty heartbreaking. i hope we all grow as attached to my new family as we did to the wallaces.

thank you for everything,

5.3 distractions

last time: krista and ben met and married in, seemingly, the blink of an eye. but how could you not under that gorgeous country sky?

i don’t know how it happened. one minute, i’m riding down the street on cece’s back, my hair flying behind me in the wind, and the next i’m on the beach with the dancer from my bachelorette party.

01

sure, i thought he was handsome. and i did want to spend more time with him. but no! i’m married. i shouldn’t want this at all. we whispered sweet nothings despite the ring on my finger and found our way to the sand.

02

our arms draped around each other, we looked up at the sky. there was an endless number of stars. i felt so small.

03

little did i know, during the days while i was training, he was chatting up our maid. apparently i wasn’t the only one who had some nerves about spending the rest of my life with just one person.

04

i’m not sure how serious it got. whether it was just a fling like mine or if he was more serious. based on gossip, i don’t think she was nearly as interested as he was, and it didn’t last long.

05

plus, ralston had taken a liking to me, and wanted her master to be as loyal as she was. she didn’t want to be used as a way to meet and woo ladies.

06

so whenever they were out, ralston took all of his time and energy trying to learn new tricks like shake, play dead, sit, and beg.

07

it was my pregnancy that made ben and i sure, however. when i told him the news, that i was expecting, he was delighted and we privately renewed our vows to each other.

08

he listened to our baby in my stomach, unable to get enough of it! i was overjoyed by his commitment. we both broke it off with our little affairs and spent the remainder of my pregnancy together.

09

the one bad thing? no riding. cece couldn’t compete and i couldn’t practice at all. i made up for it by watching the competition.

10

with the arrival of my baby boy, brendan, i forgot about everything that had happened in the past. the dancer. the maid. being unable to ride. it all washed away as i held him in my arms. he, ben and cece were all that mattered to me.

11

and i could ride again! cece and i trained even harder on our jumps, perfecting them for the next competition.

12

oh, how wonderful it was to fly.

next time: we get to meet more of little brendan and something unexpected hits this little home in the country.

5.2 a country affair

last time: the family uprooted from bridgeport and settled back down in appaloosa plains. krista, as heir, picked out the new house, sent her siblings packing, and adopted her first horse! oh… and there’s this guy…

our relationship moved fast, sure, but i knew ben was right for me. he was wealthy, well-known around town, and handsome. a lot of mutterings around town said he would never settle down, he had too many lady friends and clients as a handyman. however, i snagged him.

we went to the beach one night and i popped the question.

he said yes.

01

a few months later i had my bachelorette party with my sisters and some new friends from town. they surprised me with some dancers, one of which had a nasty mullet, but a perfectly sculpted body. i almost forgot what the girls and i were celebrating.

02

the following day was the perfect day for a wedding. the sun was shining over the lake and hills. i was so glad to be living in this perfect little valley.

Scenery 01

we were married in the backyard of the farm, surrounded by family, friends, and our animal friends.

03

we leaned in close and we said our vows.

04

and then leaned in closer as we shared the rings, symbolizing our everlasting love.

05

and then we leaned in even closer as we finished slipping the rings onto each other’s fingers before sharing our first kiss as husband and wife.

a private moment we kept to ourselves and our families.

06

next, it was time for the celebration! food, cake, wine, dancing and joy all around.

07

that night, we wasted no time in rushing to our shared new room.

08

we kissed and kissed and kissed.

09

and you know what comes next.

10

first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes…

next time: did krista and ben move too fast? timing is everything, after all. what does come next for these two?

5.1 halfway there

last time: the triplets aged up. mark and elle were married. krista was given the legacy, but her dreams aren’t meant for the big city.

i looked out at the gorgeous view from the upstairs window of our new house. elle and mark moved out to live on their own and grow a garden. we always knew that they would spend all their time in the fresh air and the brown dirt. kay and erin were next out, on their way to grow and be themselves in apaloosa plains.

mom and dad stayed with me on the large farm i had purchased.

it was no surprise what the first order of business was for me. i was ready for my hair to flow behind me in the wind as i raced through the hills and along the coast of the lake.

cece was dropped off at the house a few days after we moved in and were settled. she was stunning: brown and white, lean and fast.

she needed lots of care at first. she missed her mom, so i immediately went into bonding mode: brushing her coat and cleaning her hooves…

and bottle feeding. i knew it would be a quick relationship. i was her mom now.

before we knew it, cece was an adult and i was able to ride her. it took some time, she wasn’t used to having someone on her back. she was used to being cared for; she was used to being a baby.

as an adult, i figured that cece would need a companion that wasn’t human. i went down to the local equestrian center and looked at some stallions. i found a lovely black and white one named pumpkin that i quickly adopted. he wasn’t ready for me to ride him, so i led him down the road home. i used that time to play with him and get him used to the idea of me.

while i was with my horses, playing and helping them get to know each other, my parents were working. dad’s family had a location in this town as well that they joined. i thought that the place looked shabby, but mom shooed me away and went to work.

while i was out exploring the town, i ran into ben. he had his dog with him, a gorgeous little girl that quickly took to me.

the dog wasn’t the only one.. ben and i went down to the beach near my house.

and this tattooed, bearded hunk kissed me.

i think i like this town.

next time: is ben going to help krista get this generation going? or are there more fish in this little town?

i have some bad news. plain and simple. bad. news.

i bought the seasons expansion pack and was so excited to use it. i installed it right away and went to play. at the launch screen, it crashed. not a big deal. sometimes that happens initially and we get over it. that happened with generations and it was fine ever since then.

i go to play it again and it tells me i have an unofficial mod. that’s awkward. i uninstalled my mods months ago and have been mod-free since then. i did some research on the google machine and it told me to delete my caches. i did that and went to try again. still no dice. i delete my CC. still not working.

frustrated, i realize i have only one choice: re-installation. I back up the wallace family (the files are still sitting on my desktop) and uninstall everything. in the meantime, i also decide to clean out my computer, deleting all kinds of apps and files i just don’t need. that cleared out a ton of space (when first installing, my game told me that i needed more room, so i cleared just enough before going in for the kill) and i decided to start installing.

i install the base game and world adventures just fine. i grab my ambitions disk and give that one a go. it starts fine, but then gets stuck during the process. i stop it and try a few more times before updating world adventures first. the updates fail, so i uninstall everything and start from the beginning. now my base game disk is giving me problems, getting stuck during the installation process.

i take the disk and bring it to my dad’s computer, trying to determine if it’s the disk or my computer. it’s the disk.

so, moral of the story: my base game disk is busted, possibly so is my ambitions disk. i need a new computer because my “d” key is sticking, along with my trackpad mouse thing and occasionally the button to open my computer. it is also running out of memory, slow, and the battery is on it’s last leg.

i have a few chapters saved up that i was going to post all at the same time, but now i will post them bit by bit as i get this all sorted. hopefully it will be soon, but it really could be awhile. i am going to buy myself a new computer sometime this week, give the disks another go, and then negotiate some early christmas gifts with my mom and dad.

so sorry that i have to tell you this. in all my years playing the sims, i had never had an issue until now. i will not abandon this story, as it is the furthest i ever got and i’m not ready to let go or give up after all this time.

thank you for your loyalty and love,

– jill

generation 4 profile

heir rylee wallace

traits evil, workaholic, flirty, genius, dislikes children

likes cookies, purple, egyptian music

life time wish empress of evil

star sign virgo

rylee wallace, as first born female and evil genius, was primed to be the heir from the start. while her brother ryan was charismatic and rory brilliant, neither of them had the flair for heir-ship that rylee had. upon graduation, rylee joined up with the local crime syndicate. she was in a serious relationship with high school boyfriend arron when she got pregnant and kicked him to the curb. children were never in the cards for her, no matter who the guy was. after leaving arron and figuring out what to do with a child, rylee met and married aubrey, the crime family’s perfect child. he was definitely perfect for rylee, too. who else would want to marry a criminal than another criminal? plus, their lifestyle made children impossible. until, that is, they accidentally had triplets. luckily, aubrey was willing to stay home and take care of them until they went to boarding school. at least this way he could be home to work on his novel.

spouse aubrey (lobos-woodruff) wallace

traits vehicle enthusiast, loner, neurotic, couch potato, friendly

likes lobster thermidor, pink, egyptian music

life time wish professional author

star sign capricorn

aubrey was born into riverview’s biggest crime family. his father, his grandfather, his great-grandfather and all the other lobos-woodruff men (and one woman) before him headed the family business. aubrey had different plans, however. he wanted to be an author; he wanted to write the next great american novel. instead, like every man in his family, aubrey was recruited into the lifestyle. it was there, luckily, that he met the love of his life: rylee. while she was evil and wanted to be in the crime family, aubrey saw this as a way out. he and rylee would simply work for his family. aubrey didn’t have to take over as the head of the crime family, his little brother could, instead, and aubrey could take his chance to start writing novels. he would save the best story for last, though: the tell-all story of riverview’s greatest crime family.

spare rory wallace

traits loner, clumsy, inappropriate, dramatic, neurotic

likes cheesesteak, green, kids music

life time wish become a robot-creature cross breeder

star sign sagittarius

rory was always awkward. cute, but shy, he never really had any luck with the ladies, despite his good looks. his brother got all the charm. he especially got lost when his sister went through her teenage years and spent every weekend in trouble. rory would hide in his room and work on homework while his sister stormed about because she had been caught egging the neighbors house or stealing tests from school. ryan was never in trouble, throwing parties and not getting caught while rory milled around and tried to talk to people, unsuccessfully, mind you. when the family up and moved to the city, rory was glad to be living with ryan and going to work each day. he decided that marriage and family wasn’t right for him, instead living alone in the city with his brother and brother’s family.

spare ryan wallace

traits loves the outdoors, friendly, rebellious, charismatic, good sense of humor

likes hamburger, hot pink, soul music

life time wish be super popular

star sign capricorn

ryan was the polar opposite of his twin, rory. from a young age, ryan was charismatic, always babbling to people. they loved to talk to him and he loved the attention. with more luck with the ladies than his brother, ryan threw parties so he could mingle with his many crushes, though not all of them were home runs. by the time ryan moved to the city with his brother, however, he knew just what he was looking for. he found it in sugar bijou, the movie star. the pair moved in together and had a daughter, ariana. they later decided to make it official and get married.

4.9 graduation day

last time: lulu passed away. mark and elle grew up. and they woo-hooed, but don’t talk about it with rylee.

soon enough, elle and mark were wearing their robes and caps for the graduation ceremony held at city hall each year. elle looked radiant as a young adult.

mark most certainly noticed. they eyed each other, finding the other ridiculously good looking in the robes, although it’s hard to say how that’s possible.

that night, long after the ceremony, mark took elle out on a lovely date. they looked at the stars, had a gourmet, five course meal at the finest restaurant in town, and walked through the nicest part of the city. finally, mark kneeled down and rustled around in his pants’ pocket.

“elle wallace. i have loved you since i first arrived in your mailbox when you were just a toddler. i knew that we would someday arrive at this event, when i would be human and you would become my wife. please, elle wallace, say you’ll marry me,” he said.

he opened the box and an engagement ring glittered in front of the pair.

“of course!” elle yelled, jumping up and down. she allowed him to place the ring on her finger, a symbol of their engagement.

they just couldn’t wait and the following day made it down to city hall for their ceremony. in front of a justice of the peace and their family, mark and elle officially became husband and wife – mr. and mrs. wallace.

with the proclamation that they were wed, they leaned toward each other for a sweet kiss.

just a few days later, the triplets had a birthday and became three young adults. they all went out to the cakes in their nightgowns to celebrate with just family.

the following day it was time for their graduation ceremony, and it came time for me to choose my heir. i had four incredible girls to choose from: elle, the first born beauty who already had her life set up to garden to her heart’s content; krista, the country girl at heart who longed to live a lifestyle of fortune with horses by her side; kay, the ambitious achiever who longs to right the wrongs of her father and me; or erin, the popular fashionista who just wants to be known for her killer style all over the country?

after a long time thinking, i decided to pass the legacy onto krista.

all of the girls took the news quite well. especially elle, who was still busy in her married bliss with mark, who insisted on doting upon her gift after gift. i thought they were lame – just stupid books on gardening.

regardless, while elle waited on krista’s plan for the family, she sat out by the pool and devoured the book. she wanted to be prepared to move if she had to, and needed to know how to garden properly so she and mark could take care of themselves and achieve their mutual lifetime wish.

and they seemed to be just flying through those books.

next time: we find out where krista is going to take this legacy. will the family remain in bridgeport, or will they move on so krista can become the woman she wants to be?

generation 5 heir winner

it’s official! we have a winner. krista has won with 70% of the votes (7/10) and will be the heir for the fifth generation. stay tuned for the final chapter for the fourth generation and the beginning of the fifth generation. thank you for your votes and keep reading and commenting!

you’re the best,

jill

generation 5 heir poll

it’s time to vote for your favorite to continue on the wallace legacy! this generation has four choices, rylee and arron’s daughter and rylee & aubrey’s children. think carefully about who you like best, and who you think would make for an interesting story and generation.

elle wallace

elle was the first born in the fourth generation to rylee and aubrey. her traits are loves the outdoors, friendly, genius, animal lover and neat. her life time wish is to have the perfect garden. unwanted from the start, elle grew up with a mother who hated children and a father who was kept from her. it wasn’t until her mother married aubrey that someone took care of her, besides her grandparents. because elle was so often left to her own devices, she quickly picked up an imaginary playmate named mark. her family thought she was crazy until one day, shortly after her grandfather passed away, mark was a part of the household with his flaming red hair and aqua eyes. elle and mark grew closer and closer and it was clear that this pair would be together forever. will elle and mark continue to be together and grow that perfect garden in unison?

erin wallace

erin was the second born in the fourth generation to rylee and aubrey. her traits are light sleeper, absent minded, hot-headed, charismatic and cat person. her life time wish is be a fashion phenomenon. if it sounded like elle had it hard as a child, try being one of the triplets. after marrying aubrey, rylee conceived not just one other child, but three. as one of these triplets, erin was left to her own devices by everyone in the family. luckily, she had two sisters who were in the same boat as her. she would spend hours in her crib babbling to her sisters and imaginary playmates. when erin became a child, aubrey called up the boarding school and the girls were sent away for the rest of their childhood. erin had a wonderful education and came home when she was a teenager to attend public school. she was voted most popular at graduation. will erin become independent from her sisters and show her flair as a fashionista?

kay wallace

kay was the second born in the fourth generation to rylee and aubrey. her traits are excitable, heavy sleeper, loser, ambitious and dog lover. her life time wish is to become a forensic specialist. like erin, kay was born unexpectedly to rylee and aubrey and practically neglected. her grandfather died when she was very young after a bout of sickness from the city and her grandmother worked very hard at multiple temp jobs in an attempt to achieve her life time wish. with her parents spending nights in jail, kay was determined to not end up like them. despite  setbacks like traits that make it difficult to achieve, she also has others that leave her with a thirst to prove herself. will kay be successful in her endeavor to become a forensic specialist when she lacks the traits or will her ambition and childhood launch her to success?

krista wallace

krista was the second born in the fourth generation to rylee and aubrey. her traits are genius, friendly, snob, charismatic and equestrian. her life time wish is to be the jockey. you would think that spending years with just two of your sisters by your side and even more time away from family at boarding school would leave krista wallace with awkward social skills. instead, krista is incredibly charismatic and beautiful, making it very easy for people to like her, even if she doesn’t like them due to social status. boarding school did instill a snobbery in her, after all. she longs for a life as a famous equestrian with a beautiful family by her side and social status that would make zoey’s mother proud. will she leave bridgeport and make that dream a reality?
